Oncotarget is an online medical journal that focuses on oncology but also publishes research and articles about other fields. The bio-medical journal is peer-reviewed and open-access. It has been in publication for several years, making its first publication back in 2010. Up to date, Oncotrget has published 324 issues and is currently working at it 8th volume.
Oncotarget recently expanded upon their efforts and started publishing twice a week. The Oncotargt journal is available on several vast archives such as the PubMed, ISI Web of Science, Biological Abstracts, and many others as well. The Oncotarget journal has been working towards extending its scope of topics. The primary one is oncology, but the biomedical journal provides studies and research in fields such as Immunology, Aging, Microbiology, Pathology, Autophagy, Chromosomes, and several other topics as well. Oncotarget decided to double its publication schedule in order to provide more information for practitioners, experts, and the general public. The biomedical journal is working with a number of prominent indexes and archives to offer the research and data to it readers.

Oncotarget is edited by two editors in chief from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny has been working in cancer research for decades, and so has Dr. Andrei V. Gudkov. They also specialize in ging and cardiology.
Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny received his higher education in Rusia where he was born. His alma mater is the First Pavlov State Medical University in the vast city of St. Petersburg. From there, Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny achieved a degree in Cardiology. He also holds an M. D. in Internal Medicin and a Ph. D. in Experimental medicine.
From Russia, Dr. Mikhil Blagosklonny moved to the United States of America. He took up a position t the N York Medical Collge as an associate professor of medicine in 2002. After that, Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny was apart of the Ordway Research Institute in Ne York as a senior scientist.
