Dr. Holterman who has 29 years of experience in the medical field majored in Biology at Yale University from 1976 and 1980 and graduated from University of Virginia’s School of Medicine with a degree in medicine and immunology in 1988. The doctor who is based in Peoria, Illinois has been a full professor at the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine for seven years. He teaches surgery and pediatrics. Dr Holterman previously served as surgeon-in-chief at Advocate Christ Children’s Hospital between August 2008 and December 2010. Also, he practiced as an attending pediatric surgeon at Rush University Medical Center between August 2000 and July 2012.

In 2012, Dr. Holterman founded and is CEO of Mariam Global Health which is a global investment and business management firm that develops and implements revolutionary scientific techniques.

Dr. Holterman who specializes in pediatric surgery has performed extensive medical research in the fields of regenerative medicine, stem cell therapies, obesity in teenagers and revolutionary cancer treatments.

In his time, Dr. Holterman has received four awards among them the Innovative Research Award from the American Diabetes Association that focuses on funding research into diabetes cures and prevention. This particular surgery is used to treat extreme obesity cases by removing a small part of the patient’s stomach in order to regulate food intake.
