Since the creation of journalism in the 18th century, media houses have sprung up from all corners of the earth. Media houses have been incredibly useful to us, primarily because they have been an avenue through which society gets informed of current affairs. In the 21st century alone, the number of media houses across the globe has more than doubled. Mexico has also had its fair share of growth in the number of journalism hubs and has for a fact transformed the industry tremendously.
As of now, Mexico is home to some of the most prestigious media companies in the world. Some good examples include Cinemex, Evoga Entertainment, Grupo CIE, MVS Communicaciones, Grupo Reforma, and Grupo Televisa. One common aspect that all the above corporations share is the fact that they have been in existence for a long time, some of them operating for more than fifty years. Of the companies mentioned above, 90% of them have thrived on offering people with real time coverage of political news. Group Televisa has enjoyed success for a very long time mainly because of Salvi Rafael Folch Viadero, the company’s Chief Financial Officer and the Vice President of Administrative and Financial.
At one time, Salvi Rafael Folch Viadero was the Vice President of Financial Planning at Grupo Televisa and also served as the GM and Financial Manager at Comercio Mas SA de CV. Rafael has been an employee of Innova, Mercado Mexicano de Derivados, Consorcio, and the Banking by Comision Nacional Bancaria y de Valores working as the Vice Chairman.
Media companies in Mexico have become vibrant, now more than ever. As more of these corporations get setup, the bar of news production gets raised. Current trends predict that leaders like Salvi Rafael have the potential of taking media companies in the right direction.
